St. Joseph's Parish Calling Tree

The Calling Tree may be started for a number of reasons, such as: prayer requests, to inform parishioners of activities, funerals, changes in schedules, and so on.

It is very important that you pass the information along to the next person below you on the list. If the first person below you on the list does not answer, please call the person below them. Keep calling down the list until you reach someone. Give the message briefly and clearly, and remind them to continue passing the message along. If you reach an answering machine, it is all right to leave a message; however, treat an answering machine the same as a "no answer"-that is, continue calling down the list until you reach a person who can pass the message on. Please try periodically to reach those who did no answer earlier. Since they have been passed over, they won't get the message unless you call them.

Procedure to start the Calling Tree: (Please contact Tammy Fuglseth for a paper copy of the calling tree)

  1. Call a chairperson on one of the five lists.
  2. Briefly give them the message and ask them to start the Calling Tree.
  3. The chairperson you call is responsible for calling the other chairpersons and Father Grundhaus. If you wish, you may contact each chairperson and Father Grundhaus yourself. However, if you choose to do so, please mention it to the chair people so there won't be any unnecessary overlapping.
